Tabled Business…

1.      A continued discussion from the December 27, 2010 meeting was offered concerning Membership dues and guest fees and was made available on the website for all membership to review.

Current suggestions for discussion included…

    1. I think if someone wants to pay $2 each night then let them.  Why would we do anything to discourage people from playing?  You are not a voting member until you pay a $25 membership fee.
    2. I say no more than two nights free, followed by no more than two nights at $2, then pay the full $25 and become a member. Pass thru guests like Will could be gratis if only once in a blue moon.
    3. Do we want to say for folks checking us out, free for the first two nights, and then start paying.  However, if they pay $2 a night for a while, then decide to join; it's the full $25.  That's right, no "pay your membership fee as you go" plan.  This would encourage folks to pay the $25 and not pay it $2 a week and for us to track it.  It will be either $2 a night or $25 once, thanks very much.
    4. After the ‘One Time visitor Free Day’, and keeping up with other typical entertainment/fitness fees, increase the fee $5 a night, until the $25 is paid up. For those who are economically challenged it spreads things out.

A motion was made by Chuck Frostick, concerning potential/new membership fees…

“…the first two visits are free, next two visits at $2.00 each, and at the 5th visit the potential member is expected to pay $25.00 to continue participating in league play.” At any time the potential member can pay the customary fee of $25.00 to avoid the sum of $29.00.

Seconded by Terry Cabell, and the motion carried by a majority of the membership in attendance.

2.      Registration forms for the upcoming WV State Table Tennis Tournament were made available.

Meeting was adjourned at 6:38 pm.
