CTTC Meeting Minutes

New Business…

 

  1. Membership Dues: Three more members paid their dues.
  2. By-Laws Review: Hard copies of the Proposed By-laws were offered for review.  They are also available online at the CTTC web site.  This week and next will be the required time for amending. Two weeks from tonight they will be presented to the membership for a vote. 
  3. New Table Purchase: Dale Goff offered information concerning the purchase of two Centrefold 25 Tables. The description is to follow…

 

Butterfly’s  top of the line Centrefold 25 has been redesigned. The official table of the 2001-2011 U.S. Open and U.S. National Championships. These preassembled tables are a one piece, fold and roll, design that are perfect for those with minimal storage space and easy enough for one person to maneuver. The new look red legs are placed 400mm inward which complies with the ITTC ruling for wheelchair competitors. Blue one inch scratch-proof top surrounded by a hard PVC band and strong two inch steel rim. Gray steel frame with adjustable feet for leveling the table. Includes Europa Net Set. ITTF approved.  This table includes a three year warranty against factory defective merchandise.

 

Sportmart, a local authorized Butterfly dealer, offered a bid of $2700.00 for the two tables to be delivered and set up.

 

A motion was made by Bob Huston, seconded by Ryan Robinson to purchase the two tables from Sportmart.  The motion carried with a unanimous vote by the members present. Eric Spang will secure an invoice from Sportmart tomorrow, forward it to Dale Goff so a check can be obtained for the purchase

  1. The city of Charleston contacted the CTTC concerning putting a bid in for hosting the USATT Pan Am & National Team Table Tennis Trials and desired the clubs participation with regards to the use of our 8 tables and volunteers.  Discussion followed.  A motion was made by Ryan Robinson, seconded by Larry Sutters; to agree to offer our support to the city of Charleston. The passed with a unanimous vote in favor.

Tabled business…

  1. Eric Spang has fronted monies to cover the expense of hosting our www.tabletennischarlestonwv.com web site. He will present an invoice concerning the expenses and the next league meeting.  At that time, comments may be offered and discussion concerning his reimbursement will be made.
